Ayurvedic Mango Lassi

Ayurvedisches Mango Lassi: ein erfrischender Genuss für heiße Tage

This delicious mango lassi is perfect for summer. It refreshes, reduces the bioenergy Pitta and supports the digestive fire Agni.

The heat in summer throws many people's digestion out of balance. Ayurveda recommends a Pitta-reducing diet at this time of year, meaning we avoid spicy, sour, fatty and too hot foods and drinks.

The mango lassi and the spices it contains have a slightly cooling effect and strengthen digestion.


  • 1 sweet mango

  • 200 g organic yogurt

  • 200 ml water

  • 1 pinch of clove powder

  • 1 pinch of cardamom

  • Cane sugar or erythritol for sweetening


  1. Peel the mango, cut it into small pieces and put it in the blender.

  2. Add the yoghurt, water and spices and mix until a homogeneous mass is formed.

  3. Finally, sweeten as desired.

Ayurveda tip:

Drink the lassi at room temperature, as cold weakens your digestive power. Make sure the mango is well ripened, otherwise it will be too sour and increase your pitta.
