Roasted almonds without sugar

Gebrannte Mandeln ohne Zucker: ein süßes Vergnügen ganz ohne Reue!


  • 150 g almonds with shell

  • 1 level teaspoon of Ceylon cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 small pinch of rock salt

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup


  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C on top and bottom heat. Place the almonds in a bowl and mix with the other ingredients.

  2. Spread them out on a baking tray lined with baking paper so that they don't overlap. Let bake for 12-15 minutes.

Dosha tip: Cinnamon, my favorite spice, has a reducing effect on Vata and Kapha and combines the tastes of sweet, bitter and spicy. I recommend using Ceylon cinnamon, which is more expensive than the most commonly sold cassis cinnamon, but has a finer taste and contains less coumarin, which in large quantities can damage the liver.
