Sweet rice pudding with raspberries

Rice pudding is a popular dish made from short grain rice and milk. It is a traditional food in many cultures and is often served as a dessert or sweet meal. It is also popular as breakfast. Rice pudding is not only delicious, but also a good source of carbohydrates and energy. It can be enjoyed both warm and cold.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup rice pudding

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp cardamom

  • 2 cups rice milk (or other plant milk of your choice)

  • 1 handful of raisins and raspberries

  • Hemp seeds or other seeds and nuts for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Roast cardamom and cinnamon in ghee, stir in washed rice pudding/short grain rice and pour in 4 times the amount of rice milk and cook until soft.

  2. Garnish with raisins, raspberries and hemp seeds. If desired, sweeten with date or maple syrup.

My dosha tip: suitable for all doshas. To reduce Vata, the raisins can be soaked in water overnight. To reduce Kapha, roast some ginger powder and sweeten it with honey.
